Tori Smoyer, 32, was arrested with her husband Tuesday after state police say they found pot plants and drug paraphernalia in their Kentucky home.

A local TV news meteorologist in Kentucky was arrested this week for growing marijuana plants in her home, police say.

WPSD meteorologist Tori Shaw Smoyer, 32, was arrested with her husband, Tyler Smoyer, on Tuesday after an investigation that began with an anonymous tip sent through the Kentucky State Police's Text-a-Tip program, according to authorities.

Police obtained a warrant to search the couple's Mayfield home and say they discovered seven cannabis plants.

Police say they also found six long guns, two pistols, two silencers, eight storage boxes of ammunition, a tactical vest, and multiple items used to cultivate marijuana.

According to a Kentucky State Police release, the Smoyers were then located and arrested.

Both were charged with marijuana cultivation of 5 plants or more, firearm enhanced, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tori Smoyer and Tyler Smoyer have each been released on a $20,000 unsecured bond and are due back in court March 16.

But it's not all bad news for Tori. Just as soon as news of her arrest hit, the news personality's supporters created a Facebook page called "I Support Tori Shaw."

The group boasts over 1,300 members who offered prayers and words of support and some even suggested supporters should hold a public rally.

"How many people would be willing to make some signs, and be up to attending a little rally Saturday morning?" wrote Facebook user Tammy Green-Price.

Another member of the group posted: "She is in NO WAY a criminal and this prosecution is wrong on so many levels."
